B&H Rewards Points

I just got an email from B&H that I have rewards points expiring soon. I didn't even know I was getting some points. Anyway, it amounts to $68 that I have to use by 1/21/19.

I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth so I plan to spend it right after Christmas.

Any others here getting free money from B&H?

Most of the points are on lenses and show 2 or 4 percent rewards that are added to your account in the form of a gift card.

I see. Come to think of it I did buy a Canon 16-35mm Mark III lens from them this year. Cool Beans. I love it when I find money in the washing machine, couch or email.

It's part of the marketing scam with MSRP. Some give you a gift card, others give typically junk freebies.

Exactly how is giving you free stuff a scam?

Apparently you have never received many of the freebies. The monopods and tripods are really super, especially when complimented with filter sets and cleaning kits!

Instead of mostly worthless junk, a little reduction in price is more beneficial, but the MSRP rule would be broken. B&H offers gift cards that are typically more useful.
