I kinda hate to keep asking about Luminar but, has anyone else had a problem with Luminar not reading the .cr3 files?

Thanks!

The current version of Luminar may have preceded the release of the Canon R mirrorless full frame camera. Luminar will catch up to that as soon as possible, but not immediately. Meanwhile there should be software that came with your camera that will open the files and allow transfer to Lightroom.

Thanks! Lightroom reads them just fine but I was hoping to get away from the Adobe subscription trap and that's one reason I bought Luminar. I guess I'll be keeping LR for a bit longer.

I recently bought the Nikon P1000 for a travel camera. The files are NRW and when they open in Paintshop or Topaz Studio they are covered with a haze. Corel says they do not support these files yet. Does anyone know if Luminar will support them?

I think it's fair to say that ANY image processing software company that wants to stay in business very long into the future WILL adapt its code to new file formats as they come into being. As the 800 pound gorilla in the room, Adobe has the resources to adapt quickly (and perhaps the industry clout to even get an advance look at what the formats will be.) Other, smaller players have to keep up as best they can, but everybody's software will handle new raw files eventually. Anybody who doesn't will simply be left behind in the marketplace.
