It is comforting to know that there is such a plethora of photographers out there whose creativity and expertise are so extraordinary that the images they capture are dependent on utilizing the incremental capabilities of a full size sensor.

For those that are unsure, buy both and just nod in agreement with everybody.

#10 is not a myth. Ansel Adams would no doubt have gone to a medium format digital camera. He would have demanded a camera that has a 50-100MP sensor. Look at people like Annie Leibovitz. She uses a Nikon D810 and a Hasselblad with a 100MP back.

I own both a 7D Mk ii and a 5D Mk iv. I have shot the same scene on many occasions with both cameras/same lens and often there is a noticeable difference in the noise (skies, especially). I've read some pretty reputable photographers also make that observation (Moose Peterson, for one). So I suspect #1 is not a myth, although it may not hold for all brands, all models, etc.

I also think there is some truth to #11. For example, if you are shooting a macro shot and the subject fills the full frame image, you would have to be farther away from the subject to fit the same subject in a crop sensor frame. The closer you are to the subject, the shallower the DOF, and vice versa. That's why I often choose my 7D for macro, because of the slightly better DOF.

1. Bigger pixels are better pixels

2. If you're not full-frame, you're not fully serious

3. If they weren't better, they wouldn't be more expensive

4. Film was full frame and film is still better

5. Your photography is improved by the crop factor of going full frame, 50% better for Nikon users and 60% improvement for Canon users

6. If you can't afford to go full-frame, you can't afford to go from good to great

7. You can't afford to throw away 60% of the frame

8. A cropped sensor is like drinking lite beer

9. If God had meant you to shoot cropped sensors, she wouldn't have invented 35mm film

10. Ansel Adams never would have used a cropped sensor

11. You can't get a shallow depth of field on a cropped sensor

12. If you can't tell the difference, it isn't there

Amusing in that Crop and Full Frame are roughly the same size compared to a medium format sensor. And all 12 items apply eve more to medium format when compared to FF/Crop sensor size.
