This is really good Greg. Love the contrast between the darkness of the swamp and the egret, who is exposed perfectly. Many years ago when I was going to school (sometimes) in Miami I used to hike into the Big Cypress with waders. The things we do in our youth! Thanks for the post and the memories.

Very nice shot , for years in a row they are sowing up in my country The Netherlands also..
They are very shy and fly off as soon you approach them to close..
Luckily I could make a shot a few weeks ago when I was driving thru the farmland where they stroll around and feeding on frogs and fish from the canals that separate the fields.
