To hold a hedgehog was on my bucket list of "Things I want to do before I die." Friends of mine posted that request on Facebook and received a response from a lady in Ada, Mi. who is licensed to bred hedgehogs - Sarah Cooke. She welcomed us into her home and she had arranged for WZZM to film me holding some of her hedgehogs. If I didn't have pictures I might think it was a dream. Those little rascals are not cuddly but sure are cute. Their quills are prickly. I hope you enjoy these images. The first picture is Sarah. #4 - my friends who took me to Sarah's - Dr. R. Curtis and wife Diane. I just received two pictures of baby hedgehogs from Sarah. The last picture is her daughter Abby.

Cute things.
(The last shot reminds me of a baby possum.)

Well done.

PBS has been airing a hedgehog documentary lately. Catch it if you can.

BTW, who named this site Ugly Hedgehog? Nothing ugly about them...
