My longstanding "ask" about this image
is whether viewers perceive a real street
level image or whether it comes off as a
"doll house" type of architectural model.
I continue to see it both ways and I was,
acoarst, at the original scene. The fresh
refinishing of the facades combined with
quite unnatural lighting causes the "doll
house" effect.

Not into the "pretty picture" thing.
Hallmark makes me barf. But for
some reason this scene looked to
me well beyond the "scenic view"
genre. I don't know how others
see it. It's not like I traveled to a
"destination" which leads some of
us to view the world as far more
photogenic than things look back
home. No such influences, unless
a routine supermarket parking lot
counts as one of those "inspiring
destinations" where every little
everything becomes new ...
OK. I don't seek pretty pictures. I
don't collect cloud shots, or shoot
sunsets. I find "landscape" boring.
But I think this one is beyond all
that. Maybe it's just me or maybe
others see it. A dozen peeps could
reply that it's "beautiful" and then
I would know it's only just me. So
does anyone get anything beyond
eye candy from it ?

Being soulful spiritual person as soon as I looked at this shot I felt a strength of the light/good over the dark/bad; an explosion mushrooming up to over take. While typing this response I have this sudden need to go back and download to view more closely the rays shooting straight up or maybe down...I must view the battle.

There is something about the dark clouds to the right; presences of something, and on closer inspection I feel a combination of shooting down and pulling up from the white clouds...this is definitely a battle between the light and the dark. Thank you for sharing....
