My wife and I will be hosting a dinner for a family of four (divorced single mom three kids), a single elderly woman who lives by herself, has a bad reputation but is really a nice person and few other folks who would be alone otherwise.

Good for you. I'm sure that it will be appreciated.

We're fortunate. Two of our three kids and two of our four grandkids will be here for Christmas morning and dinner. What a special time for family.
