I love this image. Although you can only see a portion of her face, the details around it give it a place and reason for the expression. Even if you hadn't given the location away in the title I would have known where she was and what she was doing. Really good story telling.
I have considered taking my camera with me to the casino. There are such characters there but I wonder how much people would mind being photographed gambling.

I get both, which summarizes in me as discomfort. The composition, creatively out of whack, with a dark emptiness dominant, adds to the unsettling feeling for me.

I can read both stress and concentration in this shot...I can see if I had this hanging in my office, MY feelings in it would change, depending on how MY day was going...stressful, or high concentration...great job!!!

It is, but she normally looks more lovely. It’s actually an amusement arcade and the grandchildren are playing the ‘tipping point’ machines with 2p pieces we save from our change throughout the year. They win plastic toys, not hard cash!
