Here is my other birthday girl Karma who celebrates her 10th birthday today. I knew the minute I saw her, she was the one who was going to join our home. I had become friends with a girl in Massachusetts thru an epilepsy group (we both had dogs with epilepsy in recent years) and she was a breeder who had had a litter of Aussies. Now you would think with my hands full of Caiden (my other Aussie with the "no shut off valve") another Aussie would be the last thing on my mind, but that face and those eyes, nope, I had to have her. She is a little spit fire herself, but Caiden and Karma are like night and day. Karma loves life! We took obedience classes just as we had with Caiden, we tried our hand at competitions and while she did earn ribbons, she just wasn't happy doing it, and in the end, I realized we needed to find something else to do, so we got into therapy work. Karma LOVED going to visit the seniors and all she needed was just to be given a few pats, and to be told what a beautiful girl she was, that was all it took for her to give people that big Karma Smile, yes, she actually smiles, and the vet techs (when we visit the vets office) may not remember her name, but as soon as she heads toward the back, we hear, "oh its the girl with the wonderful smile" She is a ray of light, a beacon that can glow for hours, my beautiful model to practice my photography on (WHEN she will look my way) She is my everything. Happy Birthday sweet girl!
