Here's another view of my Horned Beetle which is looking down on its head. The beetle's horn looks like the horn on a saddle. I could not tell by looking at it how hairy the mouth parts are and they are hidden by the large mandibles unless you can look down on them like this. Its eyes are at the bottom on the left and right and it appears that they have protrusions to protect them.
Thanks in advance to all who view and all comments, suggestions and critique are greatly appreciated.
All those hairy areas. They are at joints, like a brush seal. Considering how it lives, wonderful adaptation. Low creatures adapt. Man alters. An insects lifestyle can be seen in it's body parts. Mole crickets good example.
Has National Geo. called you yet?
