L-brackets for Nikon D7500

Having recently acquired a used D7500, I am in search of a l-bracket to fit. While I can used the bracket from my D7100, the fit is not correct and I want to have a bracket for each camera. So... a bracket from 3-legged thing is $50 while a Kirk bracket is $120 and a RRS bracket is $145. Does anyone have any hands-on experience with the bracket from 3 legged thing? Wondering if the price difference is indicative of a quality or functional difference.

Thanks,
Dick

I just looked at the 3-legged thing L-bracket for the D7500 online. One thing I noticed is that uses rubber pads to produce friction and prevent the camera from rotating when in portrait orientation. The Kirk and RSS L-brackets have a lip along the edges that physically prevent the camera from rotating when in portrait orientation. The Kirk L-brackets have lips on both the front and back edges. The rubber pads on the 3-legged thing L-bracket probably give enough traction to prevent rotation except maybe with heavy lenses that would exert a lot of leverage on the camera. I have Kirk L-brackets and have been happy with them.

I purchased the Promaster dedicated to the D7500 from Wolf Camera. I also purchased and returned the 3 legged thing, Sunway photo DPL-04R, and the dedicated Kirk model for comparison. I didn't like the way the 3LT or Sunway mounted as the vertical rail did not align properly over the connector doors on the left side.

The promaster is a 2 piece design like the Kirk. The Kirk has a little wider horizontal base plate that has two raised ledges: one on the front of the plate and one on the back to lock the camera in position and to prevent twisting. The promaster only has one ledge on the back which fits under the D7500 view screen. It does not impede the motion in any way. If you tighten it down I have not noticed any twisting during use. The vertical plate allows access to the connectors and the battery can be removed without taking off the bracket. Fit and finish are on par with the Kirk. The Kirk has it all but the two ledges to me were not worth twice the price - just my opinion based on my usage.
