Thanks for the suggestion. Usually I don't like vertical pics much (I just don't see them as well) but I'll give it a try!

WOW! The vertical gets my vote. Such impact! The abstract quality of the water is immediately apparent, and the stately bird stands out in all of its majesty. For me, this all gets lost in the horizontal. And I like the fact that there is more breathing room at the top and bottom in the vertical. The crop is a little tight in the horizontal, in my opinion.
