Perhaps with a second and / or third bloom to better fill the picture. Or crop to a square format. Otherwise - it's a pleasant pic with a nice boket.

It's nice enough. Focus stacking could bring more of the flower ..well..in focus. Could use a little something to help depth. After that, to me, it comes back to what you WANT to do with it.

Your problem is depth of field. There are two basic ways to improve this. One is to decrease f-stop to F8 or F11. The second is to do what's called focus stacking. You need a tripod to do this. Basically to take several photos of the flower moving the focal point slightly deeper into the flower each time. You may have 10 or 12 different shots all focused at slightly different spots. Then you need to assemble the shots into a single one. You can do this with Photoshop or a program like Zerene focus stacker. Sounds complicated, but it's not so bad after you've done your first one!

There is a third way also, but less desirable, and that is to back off of the subject with an F8 or F11 aperture, take the shot, and then crop it down to size. This is a variation on the first method.

As a relative Newbie to DSLR Photography, have only approximately 2 years now with my Nikon D3300, I find this imgae very nice especially the Bokeh.

The colors are wonderful as is the flow between focus and blur. Given the shape of the blossom, try a 16:9 crop to better fill the frame, discarding much of the blank space above the bloom and some from the left and right of this version of the image. Try both positions in the new crop: exactly centered, and shifted to the left for the frame.

Agree with previous comments, but also suggest selecting a blossom without dead petals. Alternatively, maybe you could have just clipped off the dead ones if they wouldn't leave a noticeable gap.

Don't know if it was possible from a different angle, but a contrasting color background would help the foreground standout. In this case yellow. That would present a small issue in that cool colors (the flower) recede, and warm colors (yellow) advance. Just my $0.02.

Looks pretty good as it is, we all see subjects differently which is human nature. A tighter composition accentuates even more attention on the flowers. Nice blurred background focuses attention on the flowers.
When I am doing something like this I also try keeping the subject off center. My preference is to place it to the left since the eye enters right there but it could also be effective to the right and close to the center.
