Old barn submitted again

Recently I submitted a pic of this barn. Since then, I've looked the photo over and realized how dissatisfied I was with everything; the composition, tonal range, etc. So, here's the new version which I like better. For those who follow the zone system, this pic runs from zone 0 (black) in a few places to a few splotches of zone 3 (approaching white). Oh, and an overall light sepia just for fun. Ken

Ok, you just blew my mind up with all that tech talk. Lol.
Where is this barn? I recognize it but can't remember where it is at.
Great B&W.

The barn is located in South Prairie, at the base of the hill from Buckley.

I like the shot a lot. That said, it’s a bit dark for me.

Kinda agree about the darkness, but doesn't it give it a more foreboding look?

Perhaps so. Oh well, what's done in digital photography can be undone.

Much, much improved composition and the sepia is a perfect effect, giving a sense of age. It is a bit on the dark side and could be lightened overall a couple notches, but that said, I really like it.

I think the "sepia killed it!" was actually a compliment.

Not sure whose "zone system" you are using but Ansel Adams tonal range in B&W was 0-1-blacks to 8-9-bright whites with zone 6 representing 18% gray or average caucasian skin tones.

Ooops. I got my zone numbers backwards. Thanks for getting me squared away.
