We've had whippets for over 25 years and one thing I have always loved about them is how unique they are not just in personality but in looks. Like snowflakes, no two are ever the same.

Thank you for sharing your basket of whippets. I see what you mean about being like snowflakes. I recently watched a couple playing with their two whippets at the park. One was happy hanging close to its owners. The other wanted to run, so the owners sent it chasing a radio control car, back and forth across the lawn. Unfortunately, the dog suddenly pitched over in pain...broken leg. They bundled the dog up and carried it to the car to go to the vet. I never saw them again and don't know what happened to the beautiful little whippet. I hope it survived. Any idea how they might do in healing a broken front leg? Good luck with your crew.

Oh that’s awful. Broken bones are rare in whippets. I hope it made a full recovery. Italian greyhounds look a lot like whippets but are considerably smaller and broken bones are very common with them. Sorry to hear about the whippet at the park.

These were pretty small, so they may have been Italian greyhounds. Thanks for writing. jak

Oh Red Sky, I love the variety in coloring and they are very sweet. I've run across a few in obedience classes and love to watch them move. Very graceful. Thank you for sharing your precious pups with us
