Help requested... Looking for a location between Red Rock Canyon (Calif. state park) and Death Valley posted some time last year.

Some time last year, posted on this site, was photography of Evaporites. The location was somewhere between Red Rock Canyon and Death Valley. I thought I had bookmarked the photos and site location but unable to find any information or reference to my search. Any help would be welcomed.

We are going to need a bit more information. What was the subject of the photos? Do you remember who posted them?
Plus the word ‘Evaporites’ does not register anywhere except for a place in Virginia.

The subjects are the rock formations, left from the time of an inland sea. Evaporites /Evaporates are the general term given to rock formation left by evaporating water, generally of a mineral salt deposit. I do not remember who posted them, but the time frame my date back two years

Here's a guess: Searles Dry Lake, Trona, CA? It's been mined for decades for evaporites.

The Trona Pinnacles are worth photographing:

Thank you Bipod, I believe that is just what/where I am looking for. Heading out tomorrow for Red Rock and.... your help could not have been more timely.

Great drive to Red Rock. If you go through Mojave, watch the posted speed limits, signage does not give you much warning when you transition from 55 to 35, and the PD is vigilant.

It's beautiful country. I used to camp at Red Rock on my way to/from Death Valley.
Very nice, but cold at night in a tent! Enjoy your trip!
