when you put the pic up on the computer...I get a histogram iso shutter speed and aperture...is there a way to tell what oev I had the flash on...what I had wb on etc ...I have a Sony DSC_R1...Thanks for any help.
Just view the EXIF data, most newer digital cameras retain a wealth of shooting data, I have no idea what your particular camera retains. If its a Point and Shoot, probably not a whole lot.
here is the program I use, it is free. Opanda IEXIF 2 just search it out on the web. You will be surprised at how much detail is inbeded in a digital photograph.
With pointer over picture, right click. Open Properties than open Details in the dialogue box(s). What shows up?
Below picture if person has checked original when uploading
hit download:right click on picture, from pop up check copy and then paste it to an image file and then you can hit properties and get the exif data. With the other technique i cannot get the details.
No details on my program. Why?
Oh cool.....greaat, it told me everything I needed to know...thanks so much
John
john, download an image editing program called fastone.(a
freebie) Open up your image on it. click properties and click details on menu line and all your exif data will be there. Easier then other way i had described. Fastone is also good for cropping, and other editing procedures.
