Has anyone had a chance to compare the new Sigma 60-600 to the older Sigma 150-600 lenses. I am particularly interested in their performance at 600mm with wide open aperture as I, personally, found the older lenses were not that great at those settings.
Sigma mistreated me years ago. I won't let them have another shot at me.

Hard to do since it does not exist yet.
A local photographer in my area posted a couple of pics he said was taken with it.

Well he is an amazing individual then. It is scheduled to start shipping from Sigma sometime in January 2019.
B&H has a number of reviews from verified buyers so I figured some have received it.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Sigma, but other then venting your anger with them, in what way does that help the OP?

MT, you're about as connected and informed as anyone, but there seem to be some units out there -- perhaps pre-release. Check out the
thread on Fred Miranda's site.

All I can say as an AUTHORIZED SIGMA DEALER is that Sigma USA is not shipping to dealers until January 2019. Thats not to say some gray market copies have possibly already reached the market here.

Sure, grey market could be the explanation.

All I can say is that, IN GENERAL, the greater the zoom range, the less the image quality. Had the Sigma 150-600 Sport and didn't care for it. I would expect I would like the 60-600 even less. (Pretty heavy, and huge, for a 60mm lens!). Just my personal opinion. Best of luck.

For what it's worth, B&H indicates expected availability: Mid Dec 2018. However, it's already December 14th so I suspect that January may be more likely.
Since this thread deals with Sigma comparisons, what are the opinions in quality of build and overall sharpness when comparing Sigma lenses to Nikon OEM lenses? I tend to feel, be it correct or not, that modern day optics manufactured in Japan are of a higher quality of materials and workmanship, than ones made in China or Thailand. All comments welcomed. Thanks.
