Is anyone have the experience to use non-Nikon 1 lens on Nikon 1 camera?
There are many many good quality and cheap adaptor mount available for "other" lenses, I have brought one for older Nikon Ai, Leica R, and Canon FD lenses.
They all fit well and focus well, by hand obviously, but the camera can't handshake with the lens, thus can't click, I tried that with Model 1 and Model 2, same problem, any suggestion?

There should be a menu option to turn off lens detection. Not sure what it would be described as, though.

Maybe Manual mode only.

I use old non AI lenses on my D3400, the shutter will not release if not in manual mode.

Nikon made the FT-1 adapter which allows the G series of Nikkor lenses to operate properly on the Nikon 1 bodies. Works well.

Look in the menu for a setting labelled something like "shoot without lens".

The problem is that the adapted lenses aren't "recognized" by the camera, so it's thinking there's no lens and preventing shots from being taken.
