The Lions Club, of Aurora, Indiana, hosts the Miracle on Main event every year, and has since before I moved to Houston, 40 years ago.
Being newbies to this area, I find new discoveries about this little town continually, and just keep thanking the good lord for helping us find this place.
This is the Lions Club's Dickens Village display, set up in the club every year.
The attention to detail, is amazing... I suggest you down load and get a magnifying glass.
Many thanks to the Aurora Lions Club for all there hard work...

I took a few pix this evening. We have so much tradition and many generational decorations. Here are some for today. I took them in the "dark" and purposely didn't bring the exposure up much. This tree is in our bay window and highly visible from the street. It is the tree on which all our adult son's ornaments go and others that are handmade, wood or anything not glass. A number of the ornaments are from places we've visited out of the country. Each ornament has a story. The last is a window bow on some boughs. All our windows are decorated with window candles and first floor doors and windows have bows an boughs. My husband makes them - cuts pine boughs and wires all together. The bokeh is created by the living room tree in the background. (I went outside for pic 2 and 3) We live in a 200 + year old farm house so our decorations are more or less of the bygone days. I have inherited so many ornaments I have no clue what to do with all of them!

Ok, Haymaker, I put on the 50mm - not totally pleased but loved the bokeh. I think I need to try it when there is some daylight. Each year since we were engaged (we were engaged Christmas Even 1969) I have given a handblown ornament to my husband (the man for sale a few posts back!) We bought our first one December 16, 1969 at Greenfield Village for what would be our first Christmas Tree - December, 1970. We have quite a collection and have only lost one through the years. The bell is likely close to 100 years old. Ot was from my husband's side of the family. Night all, see you tomorrow.
