My formerly feral cat

This is Dougal who lived rough for several years until hunger and cold forced her to accept help from us last winter. She is now a very loving kitty who takes possession of one of our living room chairs when she has the chance. I say "she" but honestly, we haven't been able to confirm Dougal's gender and I'm starting to wonder if she might be a hermaphrodite.

Well Dougal is a beauty, and your portrait of her is excellent, Sue! And bless you for welcoming her into your family!

Thank you all! It's amazing how well a feral cat can become socialized. Dougal follows us everywhere when we're outside, even when we're working with the tractor and chain saw. Another feral cat adopted our daughter's family and has also become extremely loving - it's as though they realize their lives have changed for the better and they're showing their gratitude.

I adore feral cats. This is Obie (Old Blue Eyes). I trapped and neutered him and he has finally planted his home flag firmly on our little farmette. He follows me around, talks incessantly and rolls on his back a foot away when I stop to reply. Just yesterday he took treats from my hand and is beginning to swat playfully at my ankles.
Getting a wild thing to trust and interact with you is a wonderful feeling.

Ferg, Obie is beautiful and how wonderful that he is finally beginning to trust you. I'm excited for you that he taking treats from you now-great job!
Thanks for sharing Obie with us and look forward to seeing more of Old Blue Eyes
