This beautiful female feline has been gracing our deck for a few years. We feed her and have built a shelter for her for the winter months. If we stay inside and reach out through the door she loves to be petted. However, if you step outside, she vanishes.

I have a foster cat like that. I have been feeding him on my deck for 5 years and can pet him as long as I stay on this side of the door. If I try to go out on the deck or if he sees me in the yard, he runs under one of the evergreen trees.
