Hi Debbie Thank you very much, they both were very good dogs, I still have my 15 year old Jack Russell Woody and Blue my tri colored blue merle border collie who is two and I do agility for fun with him. Due to an accident at work in 1990 which left me with a damaged back and hips I can't run with him. The trainers is very good and Blue works with me walking and Steph said I should be able to work him without having to move much but just by commands.. We have been doing it since last May and he loves it... Like you I would like to put him in a small competition just for having a great time...
Ps age related things
My Heidi I before these two was the Groendeal x and Kizzy was a German Shepard x retriever..

Hi Val,
I thought you might get a kick out of this. This was our first attempt at "tunnel" Neither one of us really knew what we doing back then, so I was kind of hitting the top of the tunnel to get Penny to run through the tunnel. She decided to come back out and as she was jumping up on it gave me a look like " you want me to do it THIS way"
The whole class was hysterical with that one and I told them if they ever needed a class clown, we were there for them. Penny finally did understand "Oh, I'm supposed to run THROUGH IT, not on top of it." She is a hoot

That's great Debbie, at least she did what she you asked her to do
I am sure Penny soon got the hang of what to do. I watched a video of a girl and her dog who jumped over the tunnel and ran all round the ring over jumps and back over the tunnel with a side cat jump having the time of its life. The girl could not get get back and every one was laughing so much, the judge thanked her for the most entertaining round of the weekend. The tunnel is Blues fav thing to do and I had one with the long material bit on the end. He was so keen that he got tangled up in it. When we started classes I found out the were not used any more due to dogs getting hurt by going through too fast so I cut the material off and we now have a short practice tunnel. To get him through I thew his ball in and after 5 goes he was going in circles through it on his own... I did bits at home with him as he was not 18 mth till last May when we started and found the correct way to do some of the things I was doing wrong... Here he is in his tunnel...

Aww Val...he is adorable and the tunnel seems to be a favorite for a lot of the dogs. His coloring and looks remind me a lot of my Karma. She never was too keen on agility though, I think it was just tooo much work for her
She would rather be around people grinning and doing that "sidewinder" move Aussies are so famous for. Running around a room is great, if she doesn't have to do what is asked of her, but they are smart as a whip, that's for sure.
I hope we get to see more photos of your beautiful boy!

Hi Debbie, when I first put pictures of Blue in the site he was often referred to as an Aussie which he is not. I even put pictures of his Mom and Dad to show he is collie..

Hi Val, sorry about that, he does have a lot of the features of an Aussie and I forget Border Collies can come in a variety of colors as well. All I had to do was look at the subject line in your post-my error and apologies. He's a beautiful boy none the less
and can't wait to see more photos.

Val, another one you might enjoy. Little Penny flying thru the air
She looks like a small helium balloon here. She isn't that round, but she sure looks it in this shot

Hi Debbie , no need to apologize
I don't take offence as I know he does look very much like as Aussie and as you say beautiful whatever he is as all dogs are...His sister from the litter after him with the same Mom and Dad is a blue Merle and does not have the coloring Blue has and her eyes are the same color but opposite to Blues... I do not know if you saw this one of him I doctored...

Looks like you have her on a piece of string.. or doing levitation with her.... It always makes me smile when the little ones jump so high... Very good picture..
Thanks Val, and it does look like she is levitating
and I love your's as well, a very nice piece of artwork. We'll have to keep sharing our "working" dogs for those who may not know much about all the great events our dogs love doing. Need to get to bed, but please keep sharing your beautiful boy.
