I saw my first ones only a year or two ago and they are becoming more common in this area. As for the Thrush, we occasionally see one right out the kitchen window, up close, but it is gone too quick for a photo. Very secretive.
Thanks for viewing and writing. Yes, the African Collared Dove is a subspecies of the Eurasian Collared Dove, I believe. Others have reported seeing them, but this was the first I’ve seen. It was with a group of Mourning Doves. As for the Thrush, there were several in the same tree, but I could never get that clear shot. It’s nice to hear from you. Glad I could make you smile.
