I walked over to the Pond in the Southeast corner of Central Park in NYC to see if the Mandarin Duck spotted a few weeks ago was still a resident. This duck usually lives and breeds in Southeast Asia. However, this duck was banded and either escaped or was abandoned. The birding social media was aflame with reports of this male's presence so I had to go. Not only was Mr. Mandarin still there but a Wood Duck (a close cousin of the Mandarin), an American Coot and a juvenile Great Blue Heron were also. A quadrifecta!
Pictures are in the order listed in the text. I hope you enjoy these avians as much as I did.

those first two look like an artist's dream.
I love photographing birds of all kinds, and living in Florida allows me opportunities. As a former New Yorker, I must admit, you hit the jackpot! Beautiful colors, nicely done!
Beautiful Mandarin duck, very good set.
Nice photo's, the colors of the Mandarin almost looks too perfect to be real.
You indeed lucked out. Get set. vz
I am glad everyone enjoyed the group of ducks and the GBH. That was my high for the week.

Nice set, #1 and #2 look like an Audubon print. Well done.
