Attempting to express via pp what the moments felt like.

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, more beautiful soft images. I think they're great, and they don't look over cooked at all to me. Very nice, Linda.

"Impressionistic" was mentioned as being OK in the Intro Topic, so we'll see if there is much interest. So far, most folks here seem to be more into realism

Many thanks!

Linda, I am one of those folks into realism, but it doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate something different. I think these are beautiful.

Linda, I think you understand impressionism quite well! #1 seems bleak to me. #2 is isolated and cold. #3 is warm - almost hot, as if fire were approaching. Well done!

Wow, Fred, I love how effortlessly you put the feelings into words. Much appreciated!

Interesting that Fred and I had similar reactions. I had written down my reactions then read his.

1. Cold Isolation - Roll over and go back to sleep. Not going out in that. Beautiful pastel but cold colors.
2. Crisp cold twilight but still inviting for walk and maybe pick up some firewood.
3. I get two different thoughts depending on where I look. The bottom half says an autumn sunset but the top says hot summer haze especially in the body position of the horses. It's beautiful but I'm not sure which one you are trying to convey.

Thats my story and I'm stickin to it.

LOL, love it Keni! Very interesting to hear the mood you feel with #2. For me it's downright depressing But as photographer, I know the scene was very foggy and cold, and probably one of many similar days without winter sun. The lone eagle looked awfully forlorn, and I also think about how hard it is for many wild creatures to earn a living in winter.

#3 - It was a hazy, slightly foggy morning, and not hot. I hadn't thought specifically of heat, fire (Fred's comment) or sunset, but I am delighted by your reaction. I guess what that says is I am very pleased that interest was strong enough to provoke an emotional response, and I don't care what the emotion was That's not true for all of my artistic interpretations; with some I am disappointed if my pov doesn't come across, so I ask for advice on how I can make my story stronger. But for whatever reason (which I promise to try to figure out), I'm happy to hear what this one says to you.

Many thanks for your time!

Each shot conveys a feeling, but the last one really appeals to me as a work of art, Linda

Thanks! Hopefully, you won't change your mind when you hear that I added the horses later

We don't a lot of cold foggy days here in Texas and I hate to be hot. Being outside on a cool evening walking in the woods is heaven to me. Personal experience can color your perception.
