I am currently using the Oly EM 1 mk II which I love. But the great price reduction (and G.A.S.) make the D750 Nikon tempting. The EM 1 has several modes I use often (pro-capture, live composite) and very fine lenses. The cameras are 20 and 24 Megapixels, no great difference. It seems the main advantage of the D750 is low light exposures, i.e. 24 mega receptors spread over a larger sensor means each is larger and captures more light quickly. My question is are there any more advantages to the D750, other than low light, that I'm not aware of?

Depth of field will differ, with D750 having shallower dof at same lens settings.

Remember one is mirrorless, the other DSLR. Once I got used to mirrorless, I never wanted to look back.

But the D850 had me seriously drooling, but I held off. Then, the Z7 was announced, and I snatched it up, and I'm glad I did.

YMMV.

I have a Panasonic G9 and two D750s. I have excellent Panasonic/Leica 12-60mm & 8-16mm 2.8-4 lenses as well as a 32mm 1.4 Sigma prime I now use for travel. I take many non flash interior shots in European museums & cathedrals and an equal amount of exterior city & landscapes. I love both kits and find that the only advantage for the D750 is a slight advantage in dynamic range that yields, at least to my amateur eyes, in some cases more depth to a photo. You can also use twice the ISO with the D750 as you know. This is only slightly apparent in a few cases. I have used both on the same trips. My photos are used primarily in travel videos that my wife edits and places on YTube. We display these on our 50 inch 1080p tv with little discernible differences except for the slight depth issue noted above. Your OMD1 MII may yield different results but I thought you might find my experience pertinent. My FX lenses are Nikon 70-200 f/4 & 16-35 and two Sigma Art lenses, 12-35mm f/2 and 24-105 f/4. I have only used the later three for foreign travel. I am going to keep at least one of the D750s for now as I do enjoy using the D750 but not so much for overseas travel. The current pricing makes the D750 a very attractive purchase. You will notice the weight difference. Good luck!

Do you ever use the silent shutter on the EM1ii? Better google D750 quiet mode...sounds like my office copy machine in burst mode.

Depth of field will be different. You will have more DOF with the E-M1 for the same f-stop.

Could not do the work I do in monasteries and churches without the silent shutter. It is one of the great aspects of the EM1 m ii. Add the in-body I.S. and low light work is fairly easy.

The in-body IS is what I miss about the Olympus. Amazing!

Also, ask yourself the question, "How many times am I going to shoot above ISO 6400?" If the answer is really small, you would do better investing in noise reduction software instead of the D750. It would be the cheaper way to go. And again, if you must obtain the narrowest DOF, then the D750 may help you. But if you are already satisfied with the DOF from the 4/3rds lenses you have, maybe that is not as big a deal breaker as you think.

I have both a D750 and the EM1 Mark ll. I have had the EM 1 for nearly 2 years and it is my go to camera for 95% of my photography. If I know that I am going to be in a low light situation shooting wildlife, then I will opt to shoot the D750, but that is becoming more rare. The EM 1 Mark ll does a great job and it is a joy to carry with the Panasonic 100-400 lens vs the D750 and the Tamron 150-600.

I have the e-m5 II, not the same but close. I was a Nikon shooter but no more. I’m way too attached to the touchscreen controls, the stabilization. Never mind the lighter load and excellent glass at much less cost. I was tempted by the 750 and the Z7 but after holding them and fooling around with the controls, I realized how happy I was with what I have. I’d rent one and a lens that’s equivalent to your favorite, then decide.

I'm still committed to DSLRs. "Old dog" and "new tricks" comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with that, if it works for you.
