Was out in the Fish and Wildlife area and working to get the proper distance, lighting, and composition on a GBH when I heard a commotion over the berm behind me. I spun with the camera still at my face and over the berm came this red tailed hawk. I just mashed the BBF and Shutter buttons and here are a couple I caught before he realized I was standing there and he altered his flight path. Aren't you glad you're not on his menu? That's the last thing a prey animal sees almost every day of that hawks' life. Really nice photos!
