2x extender

Decided to take a stroll to test my extender. Besides composition etc... I'd like your opinion on sharpness with the 2x canon mkiii. Used on 70-200.

It looks pretty "fuzzy" to me. Did you use a tri or monopod? I have the exact equipment and feel I was able to capture sharper images, but I did use a tripod.

No Mark I didn't, first time using and was handheld, was pretty cold yesterday but steadied myself as much as possible. Not sure if it is me or the extender from all the reviews I researched. I'll try tripod next time, supposed to be warmer Wednesday

I have found it almost impossible to hand hold the 5D MIII or 7D MII with 2x extender mounted on the 70 - 200 f/2.8 II and obtain sharp images. I hate cold weather!! Almost never shoot in it anymore.
