Shot this in the garden of a house i was working in. I think the shallow depth of field works but what are your views.?

DOF is to shallow I can not see any thing in focus. I probably need new glasses. I do keep looking at it tho, so I fine it captivating.

I agree with Kavin the DOF is too shallow, unless that was your intention. Very little of the flower is in focus, again unless that is what you wanted.

I like how the green center is in focus, and the soft petals are not. Nice to look at!

Hi Kavin, thanks for your comments my intention was to have a very shallow depth of field with only a small section of the flower in focus. Through those glasses away my friend either that or send them to me

Hi Niagara Jim, yes it was intentional but wasnt sure about the result, although the feedback is swaying me. Will post 2 shots of same flower later from the same shoot in focus for you to compare. Thank you

Thank you Debbie Ann, you saw the result as i see it, so i can cancel my eye test and tell Kavin to get new glasses

Thanks a lot for your comments, i used the Sigma EX F2.8 macro lens set at F2.8
