Perhaps I haven’t been clear. When I put my photos on my 4K Samsung TV, the images are dramatically less vivid than on my 27”IMac. I’m looking for thoughts on computer monitor display on a large screen. Anybody have any experience with that?

You can get a 42" screen https://www.amazon.com/d/Monitors/Dell-Monitor-43-Multi-Client-P4317Q/B01F80FSKS/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1544530965&sr=8-9&keywords=large+screen+computer+monitor

Or you can get an 86" screen https://www.amazon.com/Dell-86-inch-Conference-Interactive-Monitor/dp/B07256M8CK/ref=asc_df_B07256M8CK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309777534894&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6255123486923940573&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9006585&hvtargid=pla-570480387050&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=58425267301&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=309777534894&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6255123486923940573&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9006585&hvtargid=pla-570480387050

Hello all, This is probably in the wrong forum, however I didn't want to be frowned on for posting photos in the Main Discussion section. We have just returned from a trip to Africa, shooting 10,000 pics, currently down to 2,100, still editing. I also have several thousand quality pics from Costa Rica, the Galapagos, Scotland, Ecuador and more. Certainly more than 15,000 stunning ( to my eye) pics. How to display 15,000+ pics?

I have been thinking of installing some type of large monitor on the wall, and have the pictures roll by. That's my question: A computer monitor seems to have the highest definition, however do not seem to come in large sizes. Has anyone taken this route to display their accumulation of photos? Hoping for some expert input on this subject.

capmike, I also wanted to display a multitude of my photos, so did basically what you describe. A computer 'savy' friend of mine used the tiny "Raspberry Pi" and a 32 inch TV for a completely independent setup. Constant running slide show. The photos change every 6 seconds (adjustable), and I can wirelessly add/remove photos from my main computer setup. Works nicely and resolution/sharpness is quite satisfactory.

I select images, make BD DVDs (South Africa, Galapagos, Patagonia, etc) using Photdex Proshow, and watch them on a 65 Samsung smart TV. Image quality is excellent.
For editing I have two 28 inches screens one of them 4000K but I see no difference in image quality between these two.
And the thousands of images (originals and edited in two versions: large and for email) I keep stored on a WD My Cloud.

I use my smart TV when I'm inside the house and have a projector, with screen, when outside on the lanai in the evenings. Both work very well. BTW, the photos are very good. Love the big cats. Mahalo for sharing.

I have a 65" LG 4K. Frankly, that is my new PC screen. I use it as my PC screen for everything. I edit and view all my images on it. I find the detail while editing better than my PC screen. Being a PC guy I cannot speak for a Mac screen. I know they are quite good. The images are displayed brilliantly and sharp. Have not used my PC monitor for over a year now.

Good Luck

Thanks to one and all for your replies. I believe I'm going to need the Geek Squad or equivalent to accomplish this project. It will have to wait a bit, as I'm still digesting our Africa trip, while simultaneously planning a trip to Ecuador in 4 weeks. When and if I do manage to get done what I have in my mind, I'll post the results. Feel free to continue suggestions, and meanwhile, here are a few more.
