Lighting for Slide Copier

After a recent thread on slide copiers, I'm considering either the Nikon ES-1 52mm Slide Copy Adapter or the Opteka HD² Slide Copier for Nikon, both cheap lens add-ons.

What's a good (and easy) light source for true color rendition?

I think that if you could use any light source and then set the white balance on your camera to that source. I can store up to five presets that I make up on my camera probable you could store it on yours too. Then use the same light everytime. - Dave

Thanks, Dave. Your advice is right on. I've just had this camera six weeks, and sure enough, there is a "preset manual" in the white balance menu.
