Greetings All,
Please forgive if this is not the appropriate place for this. My daughter was recently married and the photographer we hired was good but not really exceptional. One example is this photo, it's a great mom and daughter shot but I feel the green frame in the background is too much of a distraction. Since the wall is, more or less, a uniform color I thought it'd be easy to erase it in Photoshop. Turns out the right side is a shade or two darker than the left so I can't use the one color method. I've tried using Fill but I get some odd results with it, even if I edit small amounts of the frame. The Patch tools does a better job but I get a bad marble-y type effect and I don't know how to smooth it out.
My Photoshop skills are very basic so a lot of the underlying attributes/values that go with the tools are a bit beyond me at this point. Anyway, if someone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.
Thanks

OK here is a quick revision.
That's great! How'd you do that, especially where the frame meets the hair?
Here is one I worked on this morning...Hope you like it... By the way...beautiful looking ladies.

I like this photo and I tried another option. Muting the green to a soft grey.
I have found that if I use the clone tool to remove a small section, like where the frame meets the girls head on the right, in such a way that there is now no frame pixels near her head, that when I then use content aware fill to remove the rest of the frame there is more uniformity in the filled region. Experiment with this.
I didn't think about this and as it turns out this is a violation of our agreement. Thanks for the input all, but please cease and desist.
