This morning at 6:00 AM, my outdoor thermometer told me it was 5° above zero. Although I wanted to get out of the house to take some photos, I didn’t want to drive too far, since it felt so cold. I decided to take a drive to Belfast, ME, about an hour from my house, to look for some photo opportunities. The two photos below are of the Passagassawakeag River. The first photo shows the river from the Doak Road, while the second shows the river and the Passy Rail Trail bridge over the river. The second photo was taken from the City Point Road. During the late spring, summer and fall months, the Passy Rail Trail provides a lovely 2.3 mile walk along the river. -Paul
