Merry Christmas to all of you who were there. It was a memorable experience, but not of the good sort. Thank God for bringing most of us home.
Prayers for His mercy upon those who gave all.

Merry Christmas brothers and sisters. When I was there in Christmas ‘68, an older NCO told me that the best way to do Christmas Eve was to drink a lot - he was right 😸

Wow! Thanks so much and glad you’re here. My father-in-law just passed - he was an officer on the destroyers Lamson and Henley for the duration of the war in the Pacific. God bless.

Thank YOU sir, for your service to this great nation of ours. From my perspective as a Marine combat veteran in Vietnam, it was men like you and my uncle who served as a navigator/bombardier in the AAF, and numerous friends of my parents, many of whom were lost on beaches like Normandy, Iwo Jima, Guadalcanal and in Europe that caused my twin brother and I to join the Marine Corps to serve our country.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year.
Dennis
I recently had the pleasure of talking to a WWII AAF veteran who not only flew countless B17 missions over Europe, but also flew the Enola Gay before it's fateful mission. Apparently his job was to flight test the airplane before it was sent of to do its work.
Did not make it over, Air Force had other ideas, but enjoy hearing the stories at the American Legion
