Interested in purchasing a 150-600 used lens , would this lens work well with my D5600’s or would I be wasting my money.Has any one used this lens with a D5600’s sigma & tamron , also the Nikon 200-500 ? Any pictures appreciated thanks

Should work with anything that is AF-S and AF-P compatible and I believe the 150-600mm f5-6.3 from Tamron and Sigma and the Nikon 200-500mm f5.6 fit the bill. I don't have a D5600, but used the Tamron 150-600mm f5-6.3 G2 on a D7200 for about a year before moving to a D500.

Picture was taken with a D500 and Tamron 150-600mm f5-6.3 G2, ISO 500, f6.3, 1/1000 sec, 600mm (900mm at 35mm equivalent), Manfrotto befree tripod.

If you go to the B&H website and type in the lens you are interested in , it well usually tell all the cameras that particular lens is compatible with.

Any of the Nikon compatible lenses will work with your D5600. I use the Nikon 200-500 on my D5600. But used the Sigma 150-500 on my earlier D5100 and D5300. It needed a firmware upgrade to work fully with the D5300...which Sigma did for free even though well out of warranty.

I use the very similar D5500 with the Sigma 150-600 C lens...lightweight camera...lower cost lens of this type...photos attached...all handheld.

Just beware. Sometimes when you buy a lens you may notice that the focus is slightly off-- you may think you're focused on an eye or whatever, but when you view the pics you see the focus fell somewhere else near where you thought you were focused. So what you do is correct this problem yourself with your camera and lens. However, I do believe that the 5000 series does not allow you to do this. I had this problem when I attempted to buy a 35mm for my D5500. I actually bought two copies, both needed correction, but my D5500 cannot do it. I had to send both back and I gave up trying to buy additional lenses for that camera. The 7000 series and above does allow you to correct for this. So just test out the focus accuracy of any lens carefully right when you get it for this potential problem and make sure you can return it if the focus is off. If you're lucky you'll get a lens where the focus is spot on. Personally I will not buy any more cameras that don't allow me to fix lens focus problems.

Actually no.
If any of the Nikon compatible lenses have the mechanical screw drive they will NOT AF on the D5XXX and D3XXX cameras.
Be very careful and check compatibility score sheets as to what will work with what or you will have problems.
Always remember just because it will mount on a Nikon does not mean it will function properly.

The Sigma and the Tamron G2 lenses can be tuned using the Sigma dock and Tamron Tap-in.

I bought an 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 when I bought my D5600. I have learned to use it with good results, however I just purchased the Nikkor 200-500mm f5.6 and I am amazed how good this lens works. I have been shooting mostly birds and it seems like I get sharper focus and a cleaner image with the big lens.

I have a D5600, purchased this year and a Tamron 150 -600 G2 purchased shortly afterwards.
The lens is a superb contender and delivers crisp clear shots. Even shooting BIF, hand held in burst I can get 3 to 4 out of 5 shots worth keeping as far as quality goes. Be aware that at full 600 having a tripod or mono pod will render better results but don't be afraid to try it without support. Great combo.

I get great results on my 5600 using the 200-500 even for sports such as HS football with aid of monopod. It’s a great lens at a bargain price.
