Event software

I shoot photos with Santa at a local mall. The camera is tethered to the PC running Adobe Lightroom. After the shoot, the client selects a print package. Lightroom then sends the package to 1 of the 3 printers, 1 with 4x6, 1 with 5x7, and 1 with 8x10 paper.

Lightroom works fairly well, but I'm wondering if there is better software for these events. Suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

What would you want a different software package to do better?

Wow, I was not aware Lightroom was this powerful. I would be interested in knowing how that works..... And it sounds so easy (now that you have it set up), why would you want another software ( is it not really that easy)?

Photolynx has been making tethering software for school portrait and sports "team and individual" photographers for years. It has developed into a full, end-to-end workflow system. This is probably the oldest company that enables independent photographers to compete with the big, vertically integrated portrait companies. While it may not be geared to events, it's worth a look.

https://www.henwig.com sells Imaculum software that IS aimed at event work.
