To my surprise, after downloading this photo to my computer, I realized this milkweed bug appears to have just deposited an egg right behind her. When photographing things close up sometimes pleasant surprises are found later.

Thanks Pixel. Too late to get it to hatch. I cooked it and made a fried egg sandwich. Not very filling though.
