I remember those things! My family had one which we kept in the backyard. I remember our nanny getting her hand caught in the wringer though, to this day, I just cannot figure out how she managed to do that.

We had a similar one and my mother got her finger caught in the wringer. Not sure how that happened either.

My aunt had a white one and I got my finger caught in the winger, too! I was only about 8 years old and my aunt popped the wringer release before any permanent damage was done me. Memories, memories. She and the washer are both long gone.

My mother put her whole hand with wedding rings through the wringer. Didn’t have the presence of mind to hit the release. Reversed the wringer to let go of her hand.

I believe the one my mother used was borrowed from a neighbor. This was before I was 6 so don't remember very well.

We had one when I was a kid. I recall everyone one of the kids that helped doing the laundry got a finger or hand stuck in it at. They would probably be illegal today.

You can unlock the wringers to get “arms” “thick sheets” out of them.

We had a white one when I was a kid. Don't remember anyone getting hurt with it but do remember a phrase accociated with it. It was a reference to being in a bad situation involving a ladies body part caught in the wringer
