Oh, goodness, yet another Bald Eagle shot. I'm sorry, but I see so many photos of Bald Eagles that I'm bored with them. This could easily be titled "Bald Eagle Watching Two Lamborghinis Racing A Herd Of Elephants" and it wouldn't have told any more of a story. I do apologize. Your photo is beautiful; it's amazingly sharp; it's exposure is perfect; but it's one more photo of a Bald Eagle.

I know, I could have just passed on looking at it, but there is some masochistic impulse in my makeup that whispers to me, "Take a look. This image might be different." They never are. At least they aren't different enough to move them out of the category of cliche. Did I mention that your photo is technically superb? (I'm betting that won't make you like me.)

I am amazed at this being handheld! Great shot, and I wish I had your setup!

Oh, goodness, yet another Bald Eagle shot. I'm so... (show quote)

The Bald Eagles migrate from Canada to feed on our spawning salmon for only 6 weeks out of this year and then they are gone. That is why I take as many photos as I can while they are here. I don't have the the luxury to photograph them anytime I want.
I thank you for your honest appraisal of my ornithological photographic abilities and boring photos of my Bald Eagle pursuits, rdgreenwood.

Your consistently outstanding work impresses the HE11 out of me. I wouldn't even attempt handheld at 600mm. Could you estimate your keeper rate doing that?
