San Diego Harbor at Sunset

Midfall into winter is the cruise ship "season" in San Diego. That time of year is also when there are more clear skies. This shot was taken on 12/27/2017 with a Nikon D5300, 18-105 nikor lens at 18mm, f/8, 1.6sec, and ISP 200 from the north harbor near the airport runway looking south. I was looking to capture the feel of San Diego that includes the cityscape and harbor in an artistic way.

Very nice.
We have good memories of San Diego.

Including the closer boats, especially given how they are directing us towards the skyline, is a terrific composition choice IMO. I also like the longish exposure that softens the water. A very serene scene.

When you first posted your photo I was tempted to post this SD sunset shot for a bit of humor. I held off not wanting to possibly hi-jack your post. It's been quiet now for a while so, hoping this doesn't offend.......

Yes, "more clear skies" relative to other days in San Diego! Poor San Diego. Last time I was there the weatherman said that the weather was an unseasonably cool 69 degrees. A caption below read "Seasonal average 71" Oh! MY! A whole 2 degrees cooler! It must have been tough living through that awful cold spell.

Oh. Nice shot by the way.

Sorry about that. On second thought, promoting to other photographer is probably unproductive anyway, I won't being doing any of that again.
