An old joke: sign on farmer's fence. "Do not cross this field unless you can do it in 9 seconds or less. My bull can do it in 10 flat!"

Absolutely, not sure of this one's speed but wouldn't want to find out...Although I've seen little girls sleeping with these giants a fairs and other venues, he just might be a pet

I was raised on a dairy farm and, yeah, some bulls can be very docile and friendly. The danger with those types is that they do not understand just how fragile we are compared to them. What from their point of view is just a friendly head rub can break our bones.

He was probably raised by the owner from a calf.

This reminds me of a group of fellows that went south across the border to a restaurant that specializes in mountain oysters.the last one to get his plate got what looked like a child's plate and Immediately complained to the waiter telling him that he had not come this far to order a child's plate at whish time the waiter replied, the bull doesn't always lose the fight you know.

Great set, I was raised on a ranch, the bulls are pretty laid back, cows are the ones to keep a close eye on.

Right. I think in the US about 20 people/year are killed by cows. Many more than by sharks.

Passing a ranch in Central Florida on the way home this afternoon, saw this big, handsome fella standing by the fence, had to stop. As I stopped to admire, the owner showed up and he said he's like a little puppy, he'll follow you anywhere and loves his head scratched, yeah right! Couldn't prove it by me but at pushing nearly a ton, he's not going to be following me, I'll definitely keep the fence between him and me...

Cute little fella.
How would you like to have this guy as your "puppy"?

Longhorn bull spotted near Petaluma, California.

He was looking for a grassy handout.

Shot with a Nikon D750 and a Toking 18-28mm f. 4 zoom.

Nice photo, I think you are right about the cows though, on more than one occasion we came home to a hunter treed by our cow, we called her old red, she protected the pasture and her calves.
