Cardiff, Wales in 1980

In the spring of 1980 I did a 1-day visit to Cardiff, Wales and took many photos. From evidence just visible, it is apparent that I was making slides, probably using Ektachrome. I'm not sure what camera I was using, but it might have been a Nikkormat FT with a Tamron 28-200mm zoom lens. Many years later, after I had begun employing Autostitch® to make panoramas, I created these 6 panoramas of Cardiff Castle (probably in 2013):

(My favorite is #3.) I'm actually amazed that these came out as well as they did, considering that the slides were so old, that I used an inexpensive slide scanner to digitize them 30 years later, and then made panoramas from them (when I hadn't originally taken the photos with that intent in mind--just noticed the possibility when I was digitizing them for upload to [probably] Webshots).

Thank you! They brought back some memories. I have marched up and down that grass many times! During my time in the army, we used to take part in the Cardiff Tattoo every 2 years, and we took over the castle for the duration... I believe that the last one was held sometime around that time, maybe 82.

Nice panos. could use some PP to get the exposure a bit more saturated(?).

Yeah, Wayne, I think so. Unfortunately, when those were created I wasn't using Lightroom yet. I just used the pictures as they came from the scanner (cheap one).
