On his death bed they asked him where he wanted to be buried. His answer was "Surprise me."
I had forgotten that he lived to be 100, and also didn't realize it has been over 10 years since he died.

I loved Bob Hope and even got to interview him once. He did so much for the services.

I lived about six blocks from him, never met him and wish I had. He owned a whole block of land in Toluca Lake and the police enforced the speed limit in his area as he requested.

I still remember him. One of the greatest comedians of all times and a great human being.

I used to work on his t.v. specials (I was an editor.) and nary a reel went by without something he did on the screen stopping the mixing crew cold with convulsive laughter. He was a true national treasure.

He was what you call a "real comedian." If only some of todays would watch/listen and learn.
