When I had a 350D I believe it was tucked inside the main battery compartment

I do not believe there is one. I have a Canon 60D and I do not or can not find the battery in question. May I ask why you would want to know? Has this affected your camera in any way?

I would look inside the regular battery compartment. My Canon video camera has a small battery slot under the large battery that actually operates the camera. The info was in the operation manual......

I have a Canon 50D and the "button" battery is in the same compartment as the operating battery.
Banjee you may want to check your 60D.
This battery is used as a back up to maintain the date, time and settings infomation on the camera.

On the EOS 20D, 30D, 40D, 50D, 300D, 350D and 400D cameras the back-up battery is located in the main battery compartment. Open the battery cover and remove the main battery. Slide out the back-up battery holder. Replace the back-up battery. Slide the back-up battery holder back into the compartment. Place the main battery back into the compartment. Because both batteries are out of the camera at the same time the date and time data must be reset.

There is no Button Battery in the 60D camera. I have check through the manual. It only speaks of the main battery. The battery compartment is the hand-grip, all one peice. It takes two hours to fully charge the battery pack. The camera still maintains the date and time. Without the Battery pack the camera can not funtion. My XTI Rebel has a Button Battery along with the main battery pack. The Canon 60D simply has no button battery that I can see.

If all else fails contact the mfgr. I too had no idea that my 7d had a second battery. No mention of it in their manuel.
I spoke with a Canon tech about a sensor cleaning issue. He told me if all other solutions fail remove the secondary button battery for 30 minutes and replace it. I said 'what button battery?" There is a button battery, in my 7d, in the main battery compartment alongside the main battery.

I have looked again and again. There is no other battery in the battery compartment except for the main battery pack. At the moment I have no problems as my camera is doing fine. If there is a second battery then it is well hiden.
