This is my first post as a newbie to UHH. I welcome comments both positive AND negative. I hope you enjoy this image that was converted to B&W.

Very nice work and good technique in focusing the viewer's attention to that which you felt was important.

I totally agree. I would suggest that you check (Store original) when you upload images.

I have nothing negative to say. To me it is not a picture you look at just once. Well done!

If it seems to disappear you will probably find it in the "Photo Gallery". If you go to the Photo Gallery and click 'subscribe'. it will show up as an option the next time you go to post a picture.

Gil, Outstanding B&W image of Delicate Arch as your first post. Excellent tonal range and composition

Why??? If anything deserves to be photographed in color it's the red rock country of Utah. I see in color, you see in color, most people see in color. If you don't believe me, add a tiny splash of color to this photo. Your eye will be drawn to it instantaneously. It's like seeing a snake slithering toward you in the grass. It's an automatic response that your brain does before your body (eyes) is even aware of it.
Have you ever seen a black and white painting from a renaissance master? Of course not. JMHO. Your mileage may vary. Welcome to the forum.

Well done. Glad that you kept the horizon true rather than tilting it for the Arch that I see in a lot is imagags. 👍🏻👍🏻
