oil prices are quite variable to to world wide supply/demand. This has a large effect on US prices. Right now we are the worlds largest oil producer, mostly due to fracking. I paid a lot more than 2 bucks. Federal/state/local taxes have a large part of the cost of fuel. They make more $ per gallon than the oil companies.

So all in all, the only defense you guys have of President PumpkinHead is that wh**ever he's doing, someone did it before him. i.e. Putting children in internment camps is okay because we did it to the Japanese Americans in WWII.
