I like the light and color...
I meant to include this in the set I posted yesterday. I wish I could easily get rid off the light, translucent branch across the subject's lower belly...but I love the colors and light in this shot. This is the Belding's Savannah Sparrow, an endangered species. Since it only lives in the salt marshes of the Southern California coast where there is pickleweed, coastal development has seriously curtailed it's available biome. It see them frequently at the Bolsa Chica Wildlife Reserve. The reserve was expanded about 13 years ago by capping the wells in a pumped out oil field and allowing sea water to fill the area, but it's taken years for the natural plant and animal life to grow into the expanded area.
Hope you like this picture.

Really wonderful photo!
I'm very glad you enjoyed it and grateful that you took the time to view and reply. Sparrows are often considered plain little brown birds, but there is such variety, and with the right background can be very attractive. Thanks again.

Very nice, jak. Well done.
It's a pretty shot!
I wouldn't worry too much about the OOF branch in front of the bird.
I've seen worse!
I hope you don't mind, but I was curious how difficult it would be to retouch that branch out in Photoshop. Below is quick effort, partially successful trying several things: cloning, selective contrast adjustment, and selective multiplied layers. I couldn't figure out how to handle the tail feathers!:

Alan,
No problem with you working on the photo. You have done a credible job of removing the blurred branch across the belly. If I’d been quicker, I should have reached out and snapped off that branch...yeah, like the bird would have let me do that. Thanks again. jak
