Here are some more photos from our 492 mile 14 hour drive to the Eastern Sierras on October 13 to look at fall colors. I posted part 2 on 11/12/18, but it didn't make it into the Photo Gallery. These photos were taken on the June Lake Loop off of U.S. 395, from the parking area at Silver Lake. I hope you enjoy them. All were taken with my Canon 80D and EF-S 18-135 lens. The photos in this series are the first photos I've post-processed, and I used Lightroom.

Thank you Linda. We hit it on a beautiful clear day with the colors at or near their peak. I've got two more parts to post, the last one of and near Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite.
Very well done. Images look good. Your Canon 80D does a nice job with the light.

Thanks George. I resisted getting a DSLR due to weight and bulk, but finally made the move from a bridge camera to the 80D a couple of years ago and am glad I did.

Beautiful series!
Thank you; glad you enjoyed them.
These are really beautiful. I love that clear, blue sky. When I come home from the Midwest, I spend hours just staring at our crystalline Western skies!

The colors are so lovely and rich. Nice to see after so many smoke-filled days.

I'm glad you enjoyed them. Silver Lake is at almost 8,000 feet, so the air tends to be very clear; we caught it on a beautiful day. I have two more sets to post from the drive, and I think the next set is even better.

Thank you for the compliment. As I noted, those are the first photos I've post-processed, and I'm very pleased with the result. Those were taken before the Camp fire and it is so nice to be able to breathe clean air now in the Bay Area. I feel so sad for the thousands that lost so much.
