I used to have Panasonic Lumix ZS19 camera for point and shoot type of applications.
It was high quality, small camera but I gave it to my son.
Looking for its replacement, what is the best on the market nowdays with similar pocket size ?
From other threads, I would say something in the Lumix line is still the leader.

Panasonic ZS70 is good, but the ZS200 is better. And the LX100 is even better but doesn't have the zoom range.
I think it would depend on what you photograph. Canon and Nikon both have advanced P&S with long telephoto reach. Or are you considering mirrorless?
I just bought the Lumix LX100 as a PS camera and love it! I find myself comparing it to shots on my 5DM4 !!!
No, I already have mirrorless Sony A6000.
Just need P&S of high quality, small size
I have researched and results favor the Sony as a pocket camera. About 5 models $500.00 to $1,200. Expensive, but I think worth it. The Leica C-LUX (what I have now) is next best and a little less $'s. (It is my "dinner party" camera when the D500 is too heavy and bulky.) Lumix is less cost than both, but you get what you pay for; it's all in the quality of the glass.

The ZS100 has better reviews than the ZS200, although it does have a shorter zoom.

That is the main reason; shorter zoom allows for better (and faster) optics.

The Leica C-LUX is really the Lumix DC-ZS200 with a red dot and a higher price. It has the same Leica glass as well.
My wife has a Panasonic ZS100 and I have a Panasonic LX100. Hers has a smaller sensor and more telephoto. Mine has a bigger sensor and less telephoto. Both are marvelous cameras when you want both a small form factor and quality/performance beyond what phones will do.
The only other "quality" and truly pocket size is the Sony RX100 series.
The LX100 is a Micro 4/3 (MFT), 24-75mm (35mm equiv) camera ($998 new).
The ZS100 is a 1" sensor, 25-250mm (35mm equiv) camera ($498 new).
The ZS200 is a 1", 24-360mm (35mm equiv) camera ($698 new)
Lumix ZS19 had an even smaller 1/2.3" sensor and a 24-480mm (35mm equiv) lens.
The closest to the ZS19 is the DMC-ZS50, a 1/2.3", 24-720mm (35mm Equiv) camera ($229.00 new).
Of course, one must trade off zoom range with sensor size. If you were happy with a 1/2.3" sensor, than any of these should do.
All the Panasonic Lumix listed have an electronic viewfinder (EVF), a boon when shooting in bright daylight and are "pocketable".
I have a Lumix LX100. Great little camera. Here are some photos I took while in St. Lucia with the LX100.

Sony HX90V is a GREAT camera. Pop up viewfinder is very accurate and it has a 24-720 mm Zeiss lens. If you like shooting Raw get the Sony HX99V.
The HX90V is currently on sale for only $349.00.

I bought a used Panasonic Lumix ZS50 for $150 for a trip and got great outdoor pics. Has 30X optical zoom.
